Fund raising around the salons

Towards the end of 2011 in Nantwich, one of our stylists, Laura, was busy organising fund raising events. We had a Pink Day for Breast Cancer Awareness, with staff having a pink theme in their clothing and the salon decorated with pink balloons. Laura and some of her colleagues did a mammoth bake and produced some fabulous cupcakes for clients and staff. There was a raffle over two weeks for a basket of hairdressing products. Other donations made on the Pink Day by clients and staff reached a wonderful total of £200.

This event was closely followed by a ‘schoolies day’ at the Nantwich salon for Children in Need. Laura and friends got busy baking again and staff paid to dress in school uniform. A tidy total of £111 was sent off to swell the record-breaking giving to Children in Need for 2011.

Staff at the Alsager salon recently took part in a Pamper Evening at a fund raising event organised by St Gabriel’s School in Alsager. Amanda (salon manager), Tammy (senior stylist and trainer) and Cleo (graduate stylist) all went along and were offering free consultations, as well as curling hair or putting hair up. They were supported on the evening by Kristan (receptionist at Alsager & Nantwich).

Gemma went to the Clothes Show Live

Gemma, one of our Graduate Stylists at the Crewe salon, recently entered the Clothes Show Live 2011 competition for Young Hairdresser of the Year and, after her photographic entry, was selected to appear on stage at the Clothes Show. On her model she had to recreate the look shown in the photographic entry. It was a fantastic first attempt by Gemma at getting into competition work and she did the company proud. She’s now hoping to make an attempt at Wella’s 2012 Trend Vision competition.

Service Recognition

At a company dinner in December 2011, business owner Tim was pleased to present awards for 10 years of service to six members of staff

They join a growing band of long servers and are testament to the loyalty shown to Tim and the company.
