2005 - Salon of the Year. UPDATE
National Award for TPL Hairdressing puts Nantwich
on the map
Champagne corks are popping once again for TPL Hairdressing as Nantwich
Salon Manager, Hayley Wrench, is named as 'Manager of the Year' at
the prestigious national British Hairdressing Business Awards.
Hayley, who has successfully managed TPL's Nantwich Salon for 15
years and has a large and loyal clientele, was toasted by her delighted
colleagues as she proudly showed off her trophy.
"I'm absolutely thrilled to have won, I simply can't believe
it! I was competing against such well-known and respected names in
our industry that I was delighted even to be shortlisted" said
Hayley.
Ecstatic proprietor of TPL Hairdressing, Tim Lawton, added "TPL
were one of five Salon of the Year finalists for the first time last
year, which was an amazing achievement at our first attempt - especially
when you realise that the companies we were competing against included
the likes of Andrew Collinge, Tony & Guy and Lee Stafford, all
massive names in the business. This year, we were again finalists
but for two awards, winning Manager of the Year and narrowly missing
out to Rainbow Room International for the award of Salon of the Year."
Sponsors of the Manager of the Year award, L'Oréal Professional,
say that the winner "is the person who has gone the extra mile,
and whose contribution and leadership has resulted in an exceptional
performance by their team and salon".
Says Tim "This recognition of the hard work and dedication of
Hayley and all the TPL Team is wonderful and proves that TPL Hairdressing's
constant commitment to providing city centre style and customer satisfaction
at the highest level is our greatest strength. We aim to continue
to be the best in South Cheshire and intend to increase our profile
as one of the area's significant employers, with the focus on our
Training School as a premier education facility."
The glittering awards ceremony, held at the Royal Lancaster Hotel
at Hyde Park, London, on 12 September was hosted by TV funnyman Phil
Jupitus ("Never Mind the Buzzcocks"), whose razor sharp
wit kept his audience laughing all evening!
